Lara Vergnaud shortlisted for the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize for translation of Fatima Daas' THE LAST ONE


The Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize rewards book-length literary translations into English from any European language. This year, we were thrilled to see translator Lara Vergnaud shortlisted for the 2023 prize for her translation of The Last One by Fatima Daas.



Fatima Daas' THE LAST ONE longlisted for the Republic of Consciousness Prize 2023


The prize was set up to recognise books by small presses publishing fewer than twelve titles per year. We are very happy to see THE LAST ONE longlisted for 2023.




Nicola Garrard's 29 LOCKS longlisted for the Branford Boase Award 2022



The Branford Boase award works to recognise promising YA novels from debut authors and it is wonderful to see Nicola Garrard and 29 LOCKS among those ranks.

We were thrilled to see Nicola Garrard's YA debut on this longlist nominated by young people from over 90 Berkshire schools and public libraries.






Yan Ge shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation 2020


As the judges said: ‘[This novella] portrays adolescence as heartachingly-recognizable the world over. Translated with charm and wit by the outstanding Nicky Harman.’








Cauvery Madhavan's THE TAINTED runner-up for the SAHR Prize for Military Fiction 2019-2020


October saw Cauvery Madhavan’s THE TAINTED runner-up for the SAHR Prize for Military Fiction.


There will be a virtual awards ceremony later this year.
